How to send your photographs

Back to top of page

You can send your photo/s or negative/s to us for digital restoration and repair by post or Email.
Sending by Email entitles you to a £2 discount!

Sending Photo/s or Negative/s by Post

Download our Order Form (Word document),
choose and mark the options as appropriate and send in package with your photo/s.

Please send your item/s in secure packaging. Sandwich your photo with stiff card or use a board-backed envelope to prevent folding or creasing in transit.

Mark the envelope "Please do not bend".

If the photo is in a glass frame and cannot be removed without causing damage to the photo then please send "as is" using a box large enough to accomodate the picture including plenty of bubble wrap or shredded paper. Boxes can be bought at the Post Office.

Send your items/s to:

Mr. G. Berry,
Old Photos Restored,
30 Redcloak Crescent,
Stonehaven.
AB39 2XF.

We suggest sending your photo(s) by Recorded Delivery for piece of mind and tracking, or Special Delivery for better security and insurance.

NB: Old Photos Restored cannot be held liable for photo's lost or damaged in the post.

Sending Photos by Email

If your photo is already in a digital format or you have access to a good scanner then you can send your photos electronically.
Sending by Email entitles you to a £2 discount!

If scanning please set your scanner's resolution to a minimum of 300dpi - more for very small photos or those needing enlargement (i.e. less than 6"x4"). These should be scanned at 600dpi.  Save the photo as JPEG at a very high quality setting (least compression).

As further guidance; a 6"x4" print's pixel dimensions would be around 1200x1800 and a 10"x8" photo at 300dpi would have a pixel size of 3000x2400.

We can accept most image formats but try and keep the file size below 3MB or you may run into problems and long transfer times when emailing your picture.

Download our Order Form, choose and mark the options as appropriate and attach to your e-mail
before sending your item/s to enquiries@oldphotosrestored.co.uk
